EVgo Launches First Fast Charging Stations Under Toyota's Empact Initiative
EVgo Inc. has teamed up with Toyota to open new fast-charging stations in Baldwin Park and Sacramento, California. This project is part of Toyota's "Empact" initiative, which is dedicated to increasing access to EV charging in underserved communities. These stations feature powerful 350kW chargers and are designed to be both affordable and conveniently located near everyday spots like grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers. Each station can accommodate up to eight vehicles at the same time.
Through its Way Forward Fund (WFF), Toyota is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). By providing critical funding, the company helps ensure these children receive timely diagnoses and the necessary treatment to manage both immediate and long-term effects.
