2023 Toyota Sequoia Exterior

What's new for the 2023 Toyota Sequoia?

Toyota Sequoia is produced by the famous car brand Toyota. It's a full-size SUV that has become a niche within its segment while being one of its class's most iconic SUV names. The 2021 model year is a special one because it marks the introduction of every imaginable tech adapted to a family hauler. Compared to its predecessor, this Sequoia is slightly longer, wider, and taller than before, with broader quarter panels, a higher beltline, and main body sculpting details. The stylish front end blends well with the rest of the lines while maintaining the muscular appearance of the truck.

Exterior and Interior Redesign

The current model's design was quite impressive for its time, but now it looks pretty old-fashioned compared to rivals like Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition. However, the next-generation model should bring some significant improvements in this area. In particular, we expect a completely new design language, which will make the 2023 Toyota Sequoia look more modern and attractive than before. The front end should feature a prominent grille and slim headlights, while the rear end should feature a roof-mounted spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, and wraparound taillights.

Engine and performance

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia engine is a twin-turbocharged V-6 hybrid I-FORCE MAX engine that produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. The standard offers a ten-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive; a four-wheel drive is optional.

Most automakers are producing hybrid and electric versions of offerings in their lineups. Toyota, however, is taking things a step further. The automaker has revealed plans to sell an EV version of its models by 2025. In the meantime, Toyota is ramping up hybrid and plug-in hybrid models production. These models are more fuel-efficient than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, but they're not quite as efficient as EVs. The 2023 Sequoia PHEV will feature a 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to two electric motors that combine for 308 horsepower. With the combined powertrain, the Sequoia will be able to travel up to 600 miles on a full tank and charge. According to Toyota officials, that's twice as many miles as previous Sequoia models could travel on a tank of gas alone.
