What's New For the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser?
For 2021, the Land Cruiser receives a few updates. This year, changes are mostly in store for the Heritage Edition, which is the most recent trim level added to the Land Cruiser lineup. The Heritage Edition is now equipped with a roof basket that adds to its rugged style and increases its cargo-carrying capacity. The Heritage Edition can now be ordered with a bench-style third-row seat to fit eight people. Previously, it had a seating capacity for five. The Land Cruiser comes in two new colors for 2021: silver metallic and magnetic gray metallic. A vintage Land Cruiser badge is available to customize your Land Cruiser's exterior, and a bronze paint color accentuates the Heritage Edition's wheels.
2021 Land Cruiser Trims & Features
Two trim levels are available for the Land Cruiser for 2021, including the base model and the Heritage Edition. The entry Land Cruiser and higher-end Heritage Edition are both well-equipped with safety technology. Both trims have a standard Safety Sense package of driver-assist technology. They feature impressive off-road capability with a high-strength exterior. Roof rails and LED lights are standard.
The base trim gets alloy wheels, while the Heritage Edition has 18-inch bronze wheels. Leather seats are standard, and the Heritage Edition adds ventilated seats for premium comfort. Technology is the same in both vehicles, which is a nine-inch infotainment display with two screens. Navigation, Bluetooth, and satellite radio join for the ride, and impressive sound quality comes from the 14-speaker stereo. A heated steering wheel and push-button start are added to the Heritage.

2021 Land Cruiser Horsepower
The Land Cruiser has a sophisticated mechanical system designed for the most demanding off-road adventures. The 2021 Land Cruiser has the same engine for both trim levels, which is a 5.7L V8. This engine has a peak power output of just over 380 HP and slightly more than 400 LB-FT of torque. The engine comes with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. Low-range gearing is standard, and four-wheel drive is standard.
Toyota Land Cruiser Safety
Numerous safety features are included in the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser. Both trims get the TSS-P safety package with a camera sensor that detects pedestrian traffic, pre-collision avoidance, lane departure alert and sway warning, radar-assisted cruise control, cross-traffic monitoring in reverse, and blind-spot monitoring.
