What's New For the 2021 Toyota Corolla?
The Corolla sedan was redesigned for the 2020 model year with striking appearance and many creature comforts. These designs and amenities mainly carry over to the 2021 Toyota Corolla with a few updates to its features. The most notable update is with the limited-production Apex Edition. Available on the Corolla SE and XSE, the Apex Edition delivers the ability for enhanced handling with track-tuned chassis upgrades. Other changes to the 2021 Corolla include Android Auto compatibility as standard, new rear-seat side airbags for added safety and an automatic engine stop-start feature.
2021 Corolla Trims & Features
The 2021 Toyota Corolla trim levels are available in five options: L, LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. Other editions available include the SE Nightshade, a Corolla model that accentuates sharp, sleek exterior with blacked-out wheels, grille and other dark accents for an aggressively sportier look, and the Apex Edition built for powerful performance and handling.
Features in the Toyota Corolla are abundant. In the base model, L, you'll find standard features such as LED headlights, 15-inch wheels, 7-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Upgrades to mid-level Corolla XLE would include more premium features with upgraded LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry with push-button start, heated front seats and upgraded driver information display.
The SE and XSE have the most options available in terms of customization. The Corolla SE offers eight exterior body colors and two variations of the interior upholstery. In addition to the standard colors available, the SE Nightshade edition expands this selection with darker, sleek options for exterior design. Similarly, the Apex Edition offers upgrades to both the SE and XSE as a fine-tuned performance package.

2021 Toyota Corolla Horsepower
The 2021 Toyota Corolla is equipped with a 139 horsepower, 1.8L four-cylinder engine that sends power to the front wheels through a CVT transmission. In conjunction with the virtual gear, the driving experience is much more representative of driving the auto with a conventional automated transmission. The SE and XSE trims are provided with a 2.0-liter CVT engine or a six-speed intelligent manual transmission.
Toyota Corolla Safety
The 2020 Toyota corollas come with the next level safety. The latest Corolla is equipped with a ten airbag standard. The breakdown is as follows: advanced airbag system for the driver and front passenger, mounted side seat airbags, curtain airbags at the front and rear side, front passenger seat-cushion airbags and driver knee airbags. This whole system is aimed to ensure maximum safety. The newest model also offers the Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0, an advanced integration of safety technologies designed to enhance braking and traction.
