What's New For the 2020 Toyota Sienna?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna is the same as what the 2019 minivan has been offering. Seating for up to eight passengers, a powerful engine, available all-wheel drive on most trims and a full suite of driver-assistance systems are some of the features that make the Sienna a perpetual front-runner in the market.

2020 Toyota Sienna Trims & Features

There are seven different trims to choose from, giving people at all levels of budget something to consider. The L is the base model, followed closely by the LE. The L is a model in which only front-wheel drive and the seven-passenger layout are offered. There are some standard conveniences in the L, such as an integrated backup camera, three-zone automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry. The LE can be set up with either FWD or AWD, and it comes with some finer elements in the exterior trim, tires, and interior comforts. The LE with Auto Access Seat is only a FWD vehicle, and it has a power lift-gate and second-row captain's chair that can rotate in and out of the minivan for easier access.

At the higher end of the spectrum are the SE, XLE, XLE with Auto Access Seat, and Limited trims. The most noticeable differences are the high-intensity discharge headlights and auto-dimming side mirrors in the Limited along with chrome accents, available moonroofs, premium seat materials, and advanced infotainment systems on these higher-end trims.

2020 Toyota Sienna Safety Technologies

2020 Toyota Sienna Exterior RearEach Toyota Sienna comes with a suite of features as part of the Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) system. Automatic high beams are in place to help drivers see more clearly at night. They can detect oncoming vehicles to determine when to toggle between high and low beams. When you're cruising down the road, you can set the dynamic radar cruise control to a certain speed. Not only will this system maintain that speed when conditions are steady, but it will also slow down if vehicles ahead of you are driving at slower speeds. Another feature is lane departure alert with steering assist.

If you're going at least 32 mph, it will automatically alert you if you start to drift from the center of your lane, even correcting steering as necessary. Likewise, the standard pre-collision system with pedestrian detection is always working. It can send out an audio/visual alert if it seems that a pedestrian or vehicle is in front of you. If you don't react, automatic braking can engage.
