What's New For the 2020 Toyota Sequoia?

In 2020, the Toyota Sequoia gets some new standard features on all trim levels. Now, it comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the first time. The Sequoia also features a fresh new infotainment screen to take it into the digital age. The lineup changes slightly this year with the addition of the TRD Pro, which is specially designed for venturing off-road.

The Sequoia also gets a new, sturdier suspension system across the lineup. No matter which trim you choose, you can safely and confidently tackle challenging terrain. The latest Sequoia belongs to the second generation, which started in 2008. It has had some changes and updates along the way, but still retains some classic features that appeal most to consumers. The TRD Pro has a flexible seating arrangement this year with a seating capacity of seven or eight depending on your chosen trim. The TRD Pro also comes with a large and versatile cargo area. Despite its off-road credentials, it produces a smooth and comfortable ride over bumps.

The 2020 Toyota Sequoia lineup includes five trims. The family starts with the SR5. The second trim is the TRD Sport, which is followed by the newest addition to the family, the TRD Pro. Rounding out the lineup are the higher-end Limited and the Platinum. The SR5 has a number of notable features. Its interior includes a power-adjustable driver's seat, a split-folding bench-style seat in the second row, and automatic climate control in all three rows.

The base trim features a seven-inch infotainment display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets an eight-speaker audio system. Along with these standard features, you can also get an extra package with leather seats, heated front seats, and navigation. The second trim, which is the TRD Sport, features sport-tuned dampers, a stiffer front end, and anti-roll bars in the rear. Aesthetically, it differs with unique exterior badges and a black roof rack.

The TRD Pro features running boards, Fox shocks, and custom fog lights. It also gets unique emblems and skid plates. The Limited gets power-folding side mirrors and a power-adjustable liftgate. Some features, including a Blu-ray entertainment system and a 14-speaker JBL sound system, are optional. The Platinum, which tops the line, adds an adaptive air suspension system, heated seats, captain's chairs, and ventilated seats.

2020 Toyota SequoiaThe 2020 Sequoia comes with one engine across the board. All five trims are powered by a V8 engine with a capacity of 5.7L. This powerful engine cranks out up to 381 HP and just over 400 LB-FT of torque. It is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base drivetrain is rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive is available.
