What's New For the 2019 Toyota Prius?

The biggest change for the 2019 Toyota Prius is the introduction of the AWD-e system. This new system will add extra safety features that can give the Prius driver an extra boost of confidence to drive in less than ideal road and weather conditions. Other changes for the 2019 Prius include refreshed exterior designs and trendy, high-tech interior modifications as well.

2019 Prius New Features

The 2019 model will exhibit a stylish new rear and front exterior. The front bumper, headlamps, and taillamps will be redesigned. There are two new colors to choose from Electric Storm Blue and Supersonic Red. Interior changes are the addition of 2 USB ports, a heated steering wheel, and an oversized Qi wireless phone charging tray. The new AWD-e will be powered by a Ni-MH battery. This nickel-metal hydride battery is able to withstand major temperature changes and is ideal for those who have to drive in chilly weather conditions. The AWD-e models will display shiny fog lamps, a sleek new LED accent lamp and two-tone alloy wheels that are 15 inches in size. The Prius will offer ample carrying space that is 62.7 cubic feet with the traditional 60:40 split rear seatbacks brought down. Those looking for extra storage space should consider the Genuine Toyota Accessory cargo crossbars upgrade. This special roof rack attachment is perfect for carrying large sports equipment like snowboards, kayaks, and bikes.

2019 Toyota Prius Horsepower

2019 Toyota Prius Exterior FrontThe Prius has one of the most impressive fuel-efficiency performance ratings available in the industry. Manufacturer-projected fuel economy estimates are 58 MPG in the city, 53 MPG on the highway, and 52 MPG when combined. At the heart of the 2019 Prius is the Hybrid Synergy Drive System. This system consists of a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine and two motors that are electronically controlled by a CV transmission. The Electronically Controlled Brake System provides the driver with a stellar brake performance and feel. The Bi-Led headlamps and LED rear lamps help decrease energy usage compared to their halogen counterparts.
