What's New For the 2019 Toyota 86?

Since the 86 just rolled off the production line, all of its features are new in 2019. The 86 holds its own as one of the zippiest, attractive, and safest sports cars on the road. The 86 gives you the best of everything, as it has all the features you'd want and expect from a sports car, such as a fine-tuned suspension system and tight, responsive handling. But what makes the 86 unique among its competitors is that in addition to having the look and feel of a racing car, it also has a comfortable interior that's equipped with a number of modern bells and whistles.

As you might expect of a Toyota, it also leads the pack in terms of its safety amenities. When you visit our dealership to take the 86 for a test drive, one of the first things you'll notice is its modern, carefully crafted exterior. The 86's outer shell is as much of a work of art as it is a performance-enhancing design. Features such as rounded edges, a long, sculpted hood, spoilers, and a large front grille give the 86 a unique appearance. A manual transmission comes standard to give you an even more race-ready driving feel, while comfortable seats ensure your longest and fastest rides are as comfortable as possible.

Which Features are Available for 2019?

For its debut, the 86 is produced in three trim levels. The base model is called the 86. There are a number of impressive features even in this entry-level trim. The 86 has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lights in front and back, and power-operated side mirrors. Its variable intermittent windshield wipers adjust to the volume of precipitation for safety and convenience. A rear window defogger removes snow and ice as quickly as possible, while a chrome-colored dual exhaust system completes its exterior. Inside, the 86 has power-locking doors and windows. An automatic temperature control system with individual settings ensures everyone stays comfortable in all conditions.

The driver's information display has a multi-function layout that gives you real-time information about the car's performance, while the seven-inch touchscreen display puts technology, connectivity, and audio at the touch of your fingertips. When you move up to the GT, you will add to that list a black rear wing with color-keyed end plates. In addition to the exterior features of the base model, the GT also comes with LED fog lights.

Inside, it upgrades to dual-zone climate control. This trim has a larger driver information display and ergonomic racing seats. This special edition trim features attractive signature contrast stitching in its interior and custom badges. With the TRD, you'll also get larger 18-inch wheels and a color-keyed spoiler in the back. This trim also has underbody spoilers along its sides. Leather seats and leather trim accents in its interior give the TRD a more luxurious look and feel.
