Full-time Parts Counter Associate

Position Title: Automotive Dealership Parts Counter

Dealership Overview:

We are looking for a professional and organized Parts Counter Associate to join us in supporting our dealership staff and customers while assisting us in building and representing our brand.

Responsibilities:

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials; ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Communication:
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received.
  • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Pulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily.
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors; stocks items not picked up or required.
• Manages all aspects of billing and accounts payable including internal requests billed on service repair orders and direct customer payment/invoicing.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses):

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Parts Experienced Preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Bi-lingual is always a plus!
• Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)
• ADP experience a plus.
• Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multi-task.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast paced environment.
• Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
