What's New For the 2020 Toyota Camry & Camry Hybrid?
With its clear boundaries between compartments for people and stuff, the midsize sedan has been the go-to consumer transporter since motorized vehicles first hit the market. In recent decades, the Toyota Camry has been the go-to midsize sedan through its reliability and versatility. For 2020, the Camry family welcomes the TRD edition. Toyota Racing Development brings a lower center of gravity, firmer shocks, and other enhancements for more exceptional road performance. Read on to see what else is in the 2020 Camry lineup.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?
At 38 inches, the rear headroom is as lavish as the 38.3 inches in front. Legroom is also quite bountiful, with 42.1 inches in the forward row and 38 inches in back. Even in its simplest version, the 2020 Toyota Camry doesn't spare the luxuries with things like power locks and windows, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, air conditioning, and 6-speaker AM/FM sound in the L edition. The LE takes the next step with 3 USB ports and a 60/40 split rear seat. Both the SE and TRD models head in a sporty direction with the SE taking the LE's interior frills and pairing them with a black mesh grille and wheel rims along with the option for a V6.
The TRD focuses on-road handling by way of a pedestal spoiler and drag-reducing aero skirts. Taking opulence to even higher levels, both the XLE and sportier XSE install items like twin climate controls, an 8-inch touchscreen, a CD player, leather seating, heated front seats, a Qi wireless charger, and LED headlights and taillights. Opting for the V6 versions of either the XLE or XSE brings a 9-speaker JBL sound system along with a moonroof. Completing the lineup, a hybrid version of the LE, SE, and XLE mirror their non-hybrid counterparts in terms of interior comforts while keeping fuel needs way down.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
Whether the emphasis is on the fuel economy or more muscle, all standard 2020 Camry versions employ an 8-speed automatic transmission. For fewer gas station stops, Toyota inserted a 2.5-liter straight-4 under the hood with 203 horses that achieve up to 29 mpg city and 41 mpg highway. For quicker acceleration, a 3.5-liter V6 harnesses 301 horses while still getting a comfortable 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Of course, real fuel savings is provided by the Camry hybrid series that bonds a 2.5-liter inline-4 block to an 88 kW electric motor and an eCVT, continuously variable transmission, for 44 mpg city and 47 mpg highway. It also creates an impressive 208 total horsepower.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
Five stars in all test categories from the NHTSA and a score of Good in all categories from the IIHS should have anyone sold on the 2020 Toyota Camry. This resilience is fortified by airbags, antilock brakes, traction and stability control, and a backup camera. It's also enhanced by Toyota Safety Sense. This suite of sophisticated technology recognizes approaching impact dangers, including pedestrians, and automatically activates braking. It also takes corrective action when the vehicle veers from its lane.
